Men can invest in fashion jewelry, and a few nice casual jackets to slip on under a nice ironed shirt., with a belt, and shoes that are not for the gym. Choose dresses, skirts, slacks, and pants that are modern. If you budget does not allow for department store shopping, search for classic styles in discount stores, consignment shops, thrift shops, and garage sales. Be particular about what name brands you choose. Shop often for name brand clothes. One week of clothes that project a professional image, is better than twenty questionable outfits.

Wear shoes that are modern. Ask yourself, when you purchased the shoes that are on your feet. Do you regularly wear shoes that are outdated? Thick squared toe shoes with rectangular heels are outdated. An few pairs of nice shoes can completely change the look of your outfit. Shop during annual end of season sales for the best prices. If your profession requires you to be on your feet all day and tennis shoes are allowed, stick with dark or natural colored shoes. Wearing bright pink tennis shoes with your work uniform or business casual outfit is not professional.
