How to Wear Make-up with Eyeglasses

Wearing Eyeglasses and Choosing the Right Make Up

Glasses are often considered to be unattractive. So, more and more women are opting for contact lenses. Should you wear eyeglasses? Yes, if you take the following suggestions.

Choose the Right eye shadow.

Eye shadow plays a significant role in your appearance with glasses,It is able to make your eyes look fresher. Eye shadow should be applied in a thin line placed right above the eyeliner and should not exceed the length of the eye. Use neutral colors such as brown or beige if the frames of your glasses are colorful or bright.
If you want to choose another color of eye shadow, such as, pink, green, blue, and so forth, place it at the middles then moving out toward the corners of the eyes; again make sure you apply this too in a thin line, to avoid making your eyes look too busy. Women with medium to dark skin tones are cautioned to stay away from cream eye shadows that have a silver or white talc base. These eye shadows will give the eye area an ashen look.

Thin eyeliner

Through glasses your eyes will appear larger as will any make up that is applied to them. If the eyeliner just outlines the eyes and is applied thinly the effect will be quite striking.

Natural eyebrows

When grooming your eyebrows keep them looking natural. If you need to fill in spaces among the hairs in the eyebrows, cover scars in the eyebrows or you just want to add more definition, use a pencil to sparingly fill in the eyebrows where needed. They should always be made to look natural. Do not apply color too thickly, and always use a slightly lighter shade of pencil then you think you need, dark brown will usually look more natural than jet black.

Soft lipstick

Select a light-colored lipstick, so that the distance between the eyes and lips does not appear to be too short. If using lip liner be sure to keep the lines soft. And finally, add lip gloss for a fresh look.

The statement that eyes appear larger when seen through glasses applies only to those whose correction if for farsightedness.

Nearsighted peoples' glasses make their eyes appear smaller. Makeup seen though those glasses should be accentuated to be equally effective.
