How to Wear Purple Cosmetics

Purple makeup has become very popular recently in fashion world. We are seeing many runway models come down the lane with very alluring cosmetic applications in a great array of purple shades. On the eyes:

For those of you with pale or dark skin you can wear just about any shade of purple, with the exception of very light hues. For those of us with medium skin tones, we need to choose shades with blue tints, as the pinky looking ones will make our eyes look sore or bruised. If you have pink tones in your skin think about using a bit more concealer for under eye circles when wearing purple cosmetics.

To create a feminine look, choose eye shadows in lavender and lighter violet shades. Pairing these with lighter hued shimmer shadow will add a nice touch to your look.

If you are going for just a hint of purple, add a small amount of bright purple to the outer corners of your eyes after applying a darker brown shadow from lash to crease.

For a purple smoke look go with dark ultra violets and blend with iridescent or shimmering lavender shades.

I myself adore just about all shades of nail polish. That being said the best purple picks are in golden shimmering royal purple, an almost black matte purple, or light lilac and lavender that have a silver shine or glimmer to them. The lighter colors should be shimmering. Dark colors can be sparkling but look much better in matte.
