The experienced webmasters know all about it. For the newbie, getting the website online is only half the challenge. In fact getting visitors to visit your site is a more challenging task. You choose Pay-Per-Click. Sometime you may try a dozen other techniques and finally you are rewarded with the traffic you want. Then comes the biggest ordeal of keeping them coming again and again to revisit your site, after they have left your site for the first time. Probably you have already realized how hard it is to get visitors in the first place. However, when you finally got them where you want them to be, you will most probably find that once you get visitors to your site, you will have problems in making them return!

The ability to make visitors return again and again is referred to as being the stickiness of a website. There are many ways of promoting your site and also making it sticky so that you can receive returning visitors you desire. Here are some steps that you can take to make your website attractive enough so that visitor will return back again and again.

1. Consider writing your own reprint articles on the same subject as your website content. For example if your website promotes handbags, try writing some articles on handbag care, or how to choose the right handbag for any occasion and include reprint rights on those article. Reprint rights means that you allow anyone to reuse the articles on their websites, provided that the original contents of the article is not tampered, which includes the embedded hyperlinks back to your website. Remember to include your short bio that lists out your particular skill and expertise so that you will develop your own credibility and reputation online.

2. Try to exchange links with other sites. The sites you select should not be a competitor site but complimentary. Say, for instance that you sell shoes and do not offer handbags. Find a site that sells handbags that has the many visitors that you are looking for. Offer to exchange links with them. Sometime, there is a small fee involved. You decide what you want for your business.

3. Add games to your website is a good idea too. By adding games to your website is a very good way to make your site sticky. Lots of people love to have fun and playing games is another favorite past-time for many. Often, when they are either bored or have nothing much to do they search for sites that offer games to play. If you can provide this, you have some extra visitors to your website.

4. Find something that others do not have, for instance, offer a currency converter, IP detector and new innovative functions if you can find and develop them to be implemented n your web. People love to discover new things and thus by providing the thing they want it will help getting you what you want -increased visibility and stickiness as well!
