How to Do Well on Job Interview: Tutorials for Interviews

Kevin Choy
If you are seeking your very first job, or are reentering the job force after an extended absence, you will probably need to brush up on your interviewing skills. Practicing with a friend may be fun, but will it really accomplish the goal of getting you a job, or will it just dissolve into fits of laughter? There are better ideas out there.

There is always the old fashioned book method- go to the library and check out one of the many books designed to help you buff up your resume, hone your interviewing skills and decide on your interview wardrobe. But people are busy these days, and who really has the time to go to the library, find a book and then read it? Not many people, that's who.

Interview help is as close to your computer. The number of websites that have tutorials is astounding. To name just a few:

Labmice.net is a well done site that features many tutorials and articles on topics ranging from: where to start your job search, preparing for your job interview, common mistakes to avoid, questions and strategies and what to do it you think that you blew it.

The web address is: http://labmice.techtarget.com/career/interview.htmVideo tutorials for all are also a nicely done site that features blogs, articles and video tutorials about job interviews and job searches. Their service is free and the web address is: http://videotutorialsforall.blogspot.com.

Quintessential careers is a big more upscale looking, but is still a nice website offering free tutorials and articles on everything job related. The web address is: http://www.quintcareers.com/job_interviews.

Some people simply learn better and remember more when they see what they are being taught. Computer based tutorials are convenient, fast and can possibly calm you enough to do well for your interview. Think of it as a skill you will learn and use once and hopefully never need again.
