How to Win at the Atari Game ET

Analyze the game. When you are playing the game, you are E.T trying to phone home. Remember the movie? The object is to collect all the pieces to your phone to phone your ship to pick you up.

Determine which path is best to get to the wells that have the pieces to your phone. Watch out for the FBI agent, he likes to steal the pieces so it takes you longer to put the phone together.

Approach each area carefully watching for the scientist. He's the one that can strip you of all your powers leaving you unable to get home. The further you go into the game you start collecting pieces of candy that you give to Elliott. The more candy you have the more Elliott will help you. On the next several levels are energy icons that you collect making you stronger.

Assemble the phone after getting all three pieces then run to the phone home zone to call your ship. After calling your ship the next step is to run to the landing zone. At this zone you are able to not only get the humans home but also hop on the ship to take you home.

Search the internet for other tips, tricks and cheats at winning the E.T video game. E.T started out back in the 80's during the time that most of Atari's video games including E.T were still in developmental stages.

Anticipate the dark green areas around the wells and steer clear if you don't want to fall in. If you do fall in just reverse and hop back out. You can also pause the game the same way by having E.T jump into a well.

The Atari E.T video game has players that love the game and others who hate the game. It's basically a treasure hunting game by finding the pieces to the phone. The ones who hate the game often complained that it was too easy to fall into the wells when you weren't close to them. The best solution for that is to stay clear of the dark green areas around the wells. If you do happen to fall in it's easy enough to get back out.
