Barack Obama has often criticized John McCain and Hillary Clinton for building campaigns fueled by political fundraising dinners hosted by Washington lobbyists and filled with representatives of special interests. Barack Obama's campaign reports that 94% of his his donors in February donated $200 or less whereas donations of $200 or less made up only 13% of John McCain's funds and just 26% of Hillary Clinton's. Barack's campaign states that "Our funding comes from a movement of more than one million people giving whatever they can afford."
Because of this, Barack wants to reward his small donors by offering four of them an invitation to "a new kind of fundraising dinner". Anyone who makes a donation between now and 11:59 pm EDT on Monday, March 31st will have a chance to be selected to join Barack and three other supporters for an intimate dinner of five.
You can make a donation and be entered into the contest at https://donate.barackobama.com/dinner . Remember that "With every single donation, we're building a movement to change American politics."
