No matter what the item it can be found on ebay from children's coats and outfits to shoes and video games and if you're in the market for real estate ebay has that too. After spending a considerable amount of time shopping in this virtual world of merchandise I have learned a few tricks of making sure I get the item I want when I want it. A few weeks ago I was browsing for The Sims PC game when I came across a great deal, the seller only wanted $4.99 for the game with free shipping. I noticed that there was another bidder who spotted the gift before me so I decided to put a bid on it as well. A day or two later I noticed that the auction would be ending soon so I quickly went to the seller's page to find the item. It was still only one other bidder and myself and I noticed that I was still had the advantage because my name was on top. However the other bidder knew something I didn't know they knew to wait until the very last second to place another bid and that is why they are enjoying the sims while I sat dumbfounded. There are general rules to auctions that most of us are aware of like placing a bid and outbidding another bidder however there are specific ways to make sure you are the person who walks away with the item.
The first thing you should do is browse sometimes it can be tempting to place a bid on the first item you see with a low starting price however you may find a better deal on the same item the farther you scroll down. Place your first deal on watch where you can be alarmed of any changes to the item or notified of the ending of it's auction. As you browse check to see if the seller is offering any add-ons. For example they are selling a coat but will add on a scarf and hat to match at no extra cost. You can see if they are willing to reduce shipping for multiple items you may want to purchase from them. Next you should use the "watch" feature I mentioned it above. The reason why the watch button is crucial to your ebay win is because you may see a really cool item with a really cool deal and it may be pretty early in the auction so you don't want to start bidding however if you use the watch feature you can save the item to your "My Ebay" page and it will let you know when the end of the auction is approaching which gives you a chance to check out the item again to either decide if you still want to buy it or to see how many others are bidding on it.
Never ever place a bid early on in the auction. I have found that people are attracted to what others have. I'm unsure if it's the competitive edge humans have that causes us to want to bid on items that have previous bid offers but I've done it. I get a little adrenaline rush from bidding and rebidding on an item that I want. I feel victorious when I win the auction. If you see an item you are really interested in buying but notice that a few others are too you can make an offer with the seller to buy it outright. Although the decision is ultimately up to the seller to except you may make out better.
After you have found your item and watched it for a week now it's time to get your fingers ready to place a bid. This is a pretty big deal considering you may have a few other bidders willing to battle to the death (which is winning the item) to outbid you. First you should always wait until the very last minute to really place any bid this will help you start things off and keep the price tag considerably low and if you are a pretty fast typist you may have to step it up a bit because after all you are not the only fast typist on ebay you know?
