How to Win Friends with an Associated Content Party

JC Lamkin
For someone who is as anti-social as I am, having a party can be a challenge. But, I wanted to find a way to tell all of my friends about how they can be an Associated Content Producer. I didn't want to have to tell them individually about AC. The need to tell my friends how they could become famous Associated Content writers like moi out-weighed my need for solitude. So, I decided that having an Associated Content Party was, indeed, the best way to go.

Deciding the date and time of the party
I wanted the AC party to be at a time that was convenient for me. Since I have a very busy schedule, I don't have time to plan a long fabulous event. I decided that it would be best to have the party on a date and time that would not interfere with other events that I have scheduled. Sunday was the best day for me.

Deciding Who to Invite to the Party
I have a lot of friends who enjoy writing. And, all of my friends can use a little extra cash. Since all of the people I attend church with like to write and have interesting stories to tell, I decided that I would invite all of them to my AC party. This added a level of convenience, too because this allow me an easy and free venue for my party....church.

With a captive audience, free venue, and convenient timetable, I just knew this party would be a success!

Contacting Associated Content for AC Gear
Fortunately, AC has made it simple to get party gear. I just went to http://www.associatedcontent.com/contests.html and sent and email to buzz@associatedcontent.com to let them know the date of my AC Party. They mailed the gear out to me right away. I had stickers and cards to give out to all of the party goers.

Having Neat Giveaways and trivia questions
I found that the party was a great way to do an introduction and orientation to Associated Content. I talked about the Term of Service agreement in a matter-of-fact manner and shared my experiences. I discussed some of the key elements to being a good Content Producer, such as, appropriate use of keywords, length of content, types of articles, content promotion and bonuses. Because most of my party attendees are not computer geeks, I found that they were relieved to hear that the sign-up and submission processes were a piece of cake.

I started my party by asking each of the participant's questions about their writing experiences. I showed them how their topics and areas of expertise would fit in great. I showed them some of the articles that I wrote and allowed them to see how much money I had made via Associated Content. We talked about audio files and video files. I told the party goers about the Town Hall meetings and all of the support that is available to get them started. As always, I stressed how important it is to view the AC tutorials. Most importantly, I told them they can check with me any time if they are uncertain about a submission.

All of six attendees had great questions about exclusive rights, exposure and the payment schedule. They were all very happy that the party lasted less than an hour. Everyone left very excited about becoming a Content Producer.

Needless-to-say, I can't wait to have another AC Party!
