We are all familiar with wine tastings, and enjoy visiting them every once and a while. However, some people really enjoy not leaving their house to try different winds. Therefore, the new trends on wine tastings are now hosted wine clubs. People are taking house parties to the next level by starting these great in house wine tasting clubs. A wine club can meet monthly with a group of friends who also enjoy the different cultures of wine and can be hosted at a different person's house each time.

You can either have a set time each month when you meet, or it can be invite at different times. Each party should entail each guest bringing a bottle of wine, and possibly a paired cheese to go with it. This way, if you are hosting the party, you aren't stuck purchasing 10 bottles of wine and food to go along with it. If your club members take turns hosting the wine tasting, then no one will complain about bringing their own bottle of wine.

If you are planning to send an invitation to start this club or to claim the next wine tasting party, you'll want to send out a great invitation that gets your friends motivated to either join or return for another wine tasting. Take a picture of a bottle of wine and on the back put all the invite details, or set a theme for your wine night by sending out Italian styled invitations asking everyone to bring their favorite bottle of Italian wine.

If you are in charge of hosting the first wine tasting party at your house, there are few things you'll want to keep in mind. Decorations aren't a must, but they'll be fun, especially if going with a particular wine theme. French wines are always a great place to start, so before you pick up a couple of bottles of wine, grab some French baguettes or crepes as an hor dourves for your guests. If you are going with the French theme you'll want to pick up some great bottles of Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc to get the party started.

As guests start arriving, let the pouring commence and the party will fall right into place. In order to make a club out of this fantastic party, mention that this should be a fun monthly ritual and that maybe everyone could take turns hosting a wine tasting at their house. Most people won't complain about this great idea and will probably want to start a club with you. Not only will you all become wine connoisseurs, but you'll make some great friendships as well.
