How to Work on Slice The Pie

Make Money from Music on the Internet

Mark Mielke
Many people search the internet looking for ways to make money. Many turn up empty handed. Now, before you stop reading this, dismissing it as another make money on the internet article(cause we've all read plenty of those, haven't we?), hear me out. This is not an article telling you how to make money on the internet. It is an article telling you how to make money on one single site. This site is called Slicethepie.

Slicethepie is a site that deals exclusively in music. They help fledgling artists find their wings and they market their music. They also allow people to review this music, and not for nothing either. They pay people to review the music. You listen to the songs and you write a review on it. However, not everything is as cut and dry as it seems. I will help you through the beginnings of navigating this site.

When you first start writing for this site, you will be sorely tempted to quit. Why? Because when you start out, you are ranked as a one star reviewer. One stars do not get paid. This tends to turn off a lot of people. However, if you are persistent, all will pay off in the end. When you have completed about fifty short reviews, you will start receiving income for your hard work. After you get some experience, you will climb the "star ladder". You will start to get paid more for every review. That's when the money really starts to flow in.

There are many things about writing for this site that they don't tell you about. For example, they don't tell you that every once in a while, their music player sticks. This can be really frustrating sometimes, but fear not! It is not your computer, it is their software. They usually fix it within a day or two.

Another thing that they will not tell you and that they won't like me telling you is about the rating system. They may feed you a lot of crap about honesty, but don't be fooled. They don't care about your honest opinion. They want their reviews to fit their standards. Try to give a lot of variety. The highest and lowest ratings(1-2 and 9-10) are their preferred ranges, so it helps to exaggerate sometimes. Don't feel guilty about this, it's a business and you are in it to help yourself, not the artists. It hurts you to listen to the angel on your shoulder in this case.

A sad fact that many people have to face is that they need to devote time to this. No matter what you do, if you want to make money, you have to put in a lot of time and effort. This site is no different. If you want to make any kind of serious money, you will have to commit at least several hours every day to it. Remember, it is a job. If you do not do your job, you will not get paid. If you do not do your job well, you will not get paid. If you only do your job for a short amount of time every week, you will get paid, but it will not be a lot. I cannot stress this enough. You must devote a significant amount of time to this. If you don't, you will not succeed.

There are other ways to make money on slicethepie than just reviewing music. You can invest tips and vouchers that you get alongside money in artists that you think will make it big. If they do, you will get a portion of the profits and free accessories like cds and t-shirts associated with that artist. This is a long shot, but you can make some serious money like this. Of course, you had better have an eye for talent if you expect to get anywhere with this road.

Last but not least, if you are an artist, you can sign up for a contract with them. They will help you market your music and make it easily available to fans. They allow you to interact directly with the fans and investors. If you are good enough, they will take your music to the next level. I'm talking fame and fortune. This is the hardest way to make money on slicethepie and the only one that requires you to sign a contract, but if you think you have what it takes, go for it.

Of all the crazy ways to make money on the internet, slicethepie is one of the most useful and reliable. You can make serious money and enjoy yourself while you do it.

Oh, and something I forgot to mention. They pay you in British money. Don't be alarmed by this, if you get paid via pay-pal, they have a converter for money such as this.

Get out there and start earning!

Slice the Pie is the real deal. I am on it and have got into an artist Showcase where I have started raising the funds to record and release my album. People do make money from reviewing and the investment aspect is also worth it. I intend to sell enough albums to make sure my imvestors do well!
