Passion
The first step is to find things you are passionate about. You will be able to write better if you find topics you are passionate about. The passion from inside your heart will help words flow.
Brain Storm
Do you struggle with finding a passionate river that runs inside of you which will provide a steady stream of content? If so (or if you want to find more sources of passion), you will want to brainstorm all of the topics you are passionate about. Start with a sheet of paper and scribble all of the topics you are passionate about onto it. Now look closely, if those topics are broad (like family or cell phones), you will want to narrow it down. For family, you could narrow it down to family trips which could be further narrowed down to summer family trips to Alaska. From this topic, you could write about, "The Best Alaska Vacation", "How to Take a Family Trip to Alaska this Summer" and "Sights to See in Alaska". From the word cell phones, you could narrow it down (as I did) specifically to a Motorola V3 Cell Phone and Cingular Plan. This became the article, "Thrilled with My New Cell Phone, The Motorola V3 & Cingular Phone Plan". You can see where a topic that is very broad and general can become more specific.
Smile
If you slightly turn up the corners of your mouth while you write, you will become happier. This in turn should help your articles have a more positive spin to them.
Re-Write
If you find that an article becomes negative, do not hesitate to re-write. By re-writing or re-arranging words, you will find your content's quality will improve.
E-mail Someone
E-mailing your best friend will not only cheer you up, but while you are writing an e-mail you may find a topic. Now you can easily take that topic and write about it. Your e-mail to your friend becomes a gift! E-mailing is a wonderful tool I use to quickly discover what topic for which I am passionate. Passionate topics are easier to write about and more interesting for others to read.
Focus on Having a Positive Attitude
If you find you often have a negative attitude, you may benefit by focusing on thinking and saying only things that are positive.
Write Positively
When possible, try to avoid negative words like, "not" or "no". Instead focus on postive words and phrases like, "Yes", "Excellent", "Great", "You Can Do It", "Smile", and "Fun". These words will cheer you and your readers up!
By using positive words in your writing, you will find that more people enjoy reading your content. This will improve your page views and perhaps even your initial pay out!
