How to Write a Product Review, Book Review, or Movie Review: An Imbecile's Guide to Writing

Product reviews can be useful for someone that is interested in buying a specific product. Whether it be anything from sex toys to a Macbook, product reviews are constantly needed. Before you begin writing your product review, book review, or movie review, there are a few things we need to go over.

Me no know English!

First of all, you need to know the basics of writing. If you don't use correct grammar or know how to spell simple words (spell-checker doesn't count), writing a product review should be something you do after you pass grade school. If you haven't passed grade school already, please do so before continuing to read the rest of this article.

Congratulations on Passing Grade School. Now, Pick a Topic!

Now that you have your grade school diploma (don't lie!), we can move on. The first thing you need to do is choose an item to write the review on. If you are looking to review a product, think of your favorite everyday items that you use on a daily basis. You will write the best reviews if you halfway fantasize about these products in your sleep (or the complete opposite). If you want to write a book or movie review, pick your favorite movie or book, and now we can begin the brainstorming portion of writing your product, book, or movie review.

Better Stockpile Ideas: A Brainstorm is coming!

That's right. The storm is about to hit, so you should probably evacuate! Or better yet, if you embrace storms, stay put and get to writing. What you need to do now is think about the product and write anything that comes to mind. This will help you develop your ideas when you are writing your product review on toe socks! (That's right, Tamara, I know you're reading this.) Anyways, when you brainstorm, you don't have to use proper grammar or structure. Just write any thoughts, ideas, statements, opinions, interesting facts, or positives and negatives of the product, book, or movie that you can think of.

The Storm Is Over: Start Rebuilding your Review

Start writing! Build your review from the ground up, and use your brainstorming page to decide how to organize the review. Write with your own voice and style and make the review interesting and useful to your fellow shoppers. After you are finished, check for grammar errors and spelling mistakes and make any necessary changes. A well-written review should be between 400-600 words. If you are having trouble thinking of what to write about, you didn't brainstorm well enough, and you should consider going back to grade school.

Publishing time!

Now that you have your amazingly written product review, movie review, or book review, you can publish it on the website of your choice. Associatedcontent.com is one that I would recommend. If you decide not to publish it on the web, you could always print it out and hang it up on your fridge for your family to see! (Not recommended if you wrote a review on sex toys.)
