Generate Targeted Website Traffic Through Article Writing

No matter what kind of website you run, there is one need that is universal to all website owners: traffic. Having a large amount of traffic is important. There are plenty of ways to generate a lot of traffic: exit traffic, pop-up or pop-unders, traffic exchanges. These methods can get you a lot of traffic quickly. However, the traffic will be worth very little.

The most important thing is having a large amount of targeting traffic. Targeted means that the traffic consists of people who are already interested in your topic or keywords. A fabulous way to generate targeted website traffic is through article writing and submission. Best of all, article submission is absolutely free.

In order to generate targeted website traffic with article writing, you must write articles about the topics that visitors to your website are interested in. You can write how-to articles, informational articles, directional articles, or review articles.
After you write the article, you must submit it to various article directories on the internet. Article directories provide free articles to website owners, newsletter and ezine publishers, and other interested parties online. If they chose to use your article, they will have to include your author's biography as well. Your author's bio would consist of a line or two explaining who you are, your expertise, and should include your website address.

When an interested party reads your article, they may be inspired to click on your website link, thus bringing you targeted website traffic. If they like your article so much that they wish to publish it on their site or newsletter, it opens up the possibility for much more targeted traffic.

Following is a specific example of how article writing can bring a lot of targeted website traffic:

One: Joe Smith runs a website called "Joe's Sock Shop." His website not only sells socks, but also provides information about the latest in sock technology and trends. Joe wants targeted website traffic.

Two: Joe makes a list of topics that his customers would be interested in: sock fashion, sock manufacturing, how to make sock puppets, which socks to wear with dress shoes, which socks are best for athletes, etc.

Three: Joe writes an interesting, information-filled article for each topic. He includes an informative author's bio, including his website link, on each one.

Four: Joe submits his articles to several online article directories.

Now, a several things begin to happen. Joe Smith's name starts popping up in search engine queries about socks. This helps Joe's reputation as a sock expert, which also increases the comfort level of potential customers in dealing with him. Joe's website link to "Joe's Sock Shop" also begins popping up in search engine queries about socks. People start clicking on the links: people who are already searching for socks. This is targeted website traffic.

Frank Jones happens to run a website called "Frank's Slipper Shop." He has lots of targeted traffic from the slipper crowd, but now wants to expand his marketing to include other people with cold feet. On his website, blog, or in his newsletter, he decides to use Joe's article "The Best Socks for Cold Weather" complete with Joe's author bio.

Franks visitors and customers click through to Joe's website link at the end of the article. More targeted website traffic.
Getting targeted website traffic through article writing and submission is an excellent idea. Each article that you write and submit has the potential for much more than an initial burst of traffic. It provides the possibility that someone will use your article a year from now, and introduce your website to another whole group of prospects. Writing and submitting topical articles is one of the quickest and easiest ways to get a lot of targeted website traffic.

    EXPOSED:

"Andborough Publishing’s web-site is every bit as vague as them; Its vagueness, lack of information and blank pages are mess!

It may be just me but I find it a bit odd that a top selling publisher cannot sort their web site out for more than four years. By this time a suspicion is growing in my mind and I dug deeper into Andborough Publishing. The address for submitted work is a PO box in Texas but eventually I traced it to an address in Colorado Springs
