Inspired by Reed Sandridge, Howard Wu decided October 10, 2010, with the date expressed as 10/10/10, would be the perfect day to have Give a Stranger 10 Bucks Day.

Those not familiar with 365 Days of Giving may enjoy knowing that Reed Sandridge gives $10.00 to one person every day, and intends to do this for one year. His year began on the anniversary of his mother's death on December 15th,2010. Following Reed's adventures during his 365 Days of Giving has been fun and eye opening and Howard Wu states this hasinspired him to call for a Give a Stranger 10 Bucks Day. Most realize all that is going on in the world, and Reed's articles about individuals he meets are serious reminders of where we stand.

Howard Wu knew that October 10, 2010 would be the perfect day to give one stranger $10.00. Many can't do what Reed Sandridge is determined to do: Give $10 to one person every day for 365 days. However, on occasion most can give something to the person on the street looking for help. In the case of Reed Sandridge, the recipients are not always looking for someone to give them something. Reed will often approach those working where he happens to be, or someone enjoying a meal where Reed is as well. Reed then gets permission to snap a photo, asks for some info to stay in contact with the person, and likes to know what will be done with the $10.00.

Most people Reed Sandridge speaks with give a few details about their life, and as Reed has stated, he has no way of knowing if he is being told the truth. It just doesn't matter.
