September is almost done. Can you believe it? And with October comes Halloween fun. Here are a few family events to consider when making your spooky plans.

Of course, Clinton Hill's Annual Halloween Walk. This year's prowl is on Sunday, October 31st, and begins at 5 pm. Meet up at the Pratt-Clinton Hill Community Garden at Dekalb Ave. and Hall St. Thanks for the details, Team Tish.

And 313 plans to put on the spooky "Vampire Opera." Vampires! I'm scared already. If you'd like to help support the show, pick up a cool Tee at the Flea on October 16th. You can also grab T's and totes at 313 on Saturdays throughout October and maybe Sundays, according to the Society for Clinton Hill.

The Bronx Zoo (I love it! The animals are amazing and it's very cool to be so close to nature) is having its "Boo at the Zoo" event every October weekend. One child, 3-12, in costume gets in FREE with the purchase of every one adult ticket. Enjoy a costume parade, hayride, magic and puppet shows and more.

The Halloween Festival at Fort Greene Park begins @ 12 noon on Saturday, October 30th. It will have hayrides, face-painting, a costume parade and more. It's FREE. Dekalb Ave. and Washington Park St.

Want to spend a day pumpkin picking? Try Queens County Farm in Queens, Greig Farm in Red Hook, or Decker Farm on Staten Island. Use links for more info and directions.

No matter what you do this Halloween, have a fun and safe time.

From the skyscrapers of NYC, I face strength. From the people of NYC, I gain understanding. And from the heart of NYC, I feel inspiration. So, I tend to write about the city quite a bit.  View profile
