Candy Cane Chandelier

What you will need:
At a craft store, purchase two wire floral rings, one 12-inch and one 8-inch. They can either be crimped, straight, or double
around 6 feet of artificial ivy garland, wired
wire cutters(scissors can also work)
5/8 inch wide red ribbon, three pieces
small piece of a thin wire
Candy canes

Take the ivy garland and wrap it around both of the wire rings, one at a time. Use the scissors or wire cutters to trim any excess garland away. You can use the thin piece of wire to secure any loose ends of the ivy.

Space out one-third intervals on the 12-inch ring. Tie one end of all three ribbons onto the ring, and then attach them evenly to the 8-inch ring. Leave about 8-10 inches of ribbon between the rings. Then, tie the ribbons together at a knot at the top. Hang your wreath where you would like it positioned, using this knot. A corner is always a nice place, or above a kitchen island. Once the wreath is hung up, carefully hang candy canes off of both tiers.

Cloth-Wrapped Candy Canes

What you'll need:
3 strips of different colors or prints of fabric, wax paper, glue, paintbrush, 3 pipe cleaners, scissors or wire cutters

Lay out a wax paper-covered area to work on. Lay each piece of fabric down on the paper, print or colored side down. Take the paintbrush and carefully coat it with a thin layer of the glue. Lay down a pipe cleaner along one long edge of the fabric, and roll the piece of fabric around it as tight as you can. Smooth the outer edge carefully. Do this for each colored fabric and pipe cleaner.

Pinch the tops of the 3 wrapped pipe cleaners together, and twist them into a spiral to form a candy cane shape. Set the canes out to dry, and trim the edges to make neater if needed.

Glitter Angel

What you'll need:
Soda bottle, one-liter, string, glue, small round ornament, glitter, one piece of gold tinsel, waxed paper, cookie sheet

Take the soda bottle and cut the bottom of it off. Water down the glue to make the consistency of thick cream, and dip pieces of string into it. Wrap them around the bottle, starting at the bottom, covering the whole bottle completely. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper, and make a shape of angel wings out of glue-soaked strings. Fill the wings in with string coiled in lacy patterns, and sprinkle on glitter before the glue dries.

Let the angel wings dry completely, then glue to the body. Use the round ornament for the head, and glue hook down to the top of the bottle. Use the tinsel to glue on a halo.
