Making your Pumpkin Man:
(This is the directions to make the large pumpkin man, use the remaining materials to make the smaller ones.)
First you will need to place the blue jeans in the spot that you will want your pumpkin man to sit. These are very heavy and you will not be able to move them around when finished. Place one of the concrete block vertically, in the top opening of the large pair of blue jeans. Next stack the other concrete block on top of the last block and place the wood piece on top making it look like shoulders.
Next add cloths to your Pumpkin Man, by placing the flannel shirt over the wooden shoulders, and buttoning the shirt, and taking some of the natural rope and tying it around the neck area. Now take some more rope and thread it through the belt loops on the jeans, leaving the ends long. Tuck in the shirt, and tie the belt tight around the blocks.
For the head you can use either the plastic candy buckets, or a real pumpkin. If you are using the buckets, place a heavy object like a rock inside the bucket to weight it down, and place a plant inside for the pumpkin mans funny hair due. If you are using a real pumpkin for your head, take a permanent black marker, and draw a jack-0-lantern face on the pumpkin, and place a flower pot saucer on top of the pumpkin for his hat.
Now for the finishing touch go around your yard and collect leaves, sticks, and corn stalk leaves. Place these items in the pockets of the shirt and jeans for a fun fall look.
I hope you enjoyed making your pumpkin man, you can use all kinds of things around your garden to make your own pumpkin man. Like, bases from your bird baths, old metal buckets, baskets, are just some of the fun items you can use. Just take a look around your yard and think outside of the box, and have a little fall decorating fun.
