First off, the monitor is great, I am actually using it right now to write this article. It is a little dirty at the moment, and it does look a little rugged after five years. But I am still very happy with it. The screen is as bright as it was the day I bought it and the quality is great, except for the dead pixel in the middle, but that is my fault, and it's just a speck on the screen. It is hardly noticeable to me anyway. I just spotted another dead pixel, but it is hardly noticeable as well. It might even be a crack in the LCD for all I know.
The monitor is very easy to hook up and is has no problems working on a variety of machines. The HP F1503 is a great lightweight monitor that is great for watching movies on or gaming. It has 1024 x 768 resolution and a gray lining around the screen. It has buttons on the front for menu, brightness and contrast, as well as a select option for the menu. The monitor also goes into power saving mode, and you can set when it does this.
The HP Pavilion F1503 is indestructible, I have punched this monitor, right in the middle of the LCD. Numerous times, very hard over several years I have abused it I punched it when I lost a game, or when I was mad at somebody chatting, I've knocked it off my desk. It will not break, it refuses to break, once I noticed the dead pixels, I eased up on the monitor and started taking out my anger on the mouse. Which is much less expensive then the HP F1503 anyway.
In conclusion, The HP Pavilion F1503 is indestructible, and the most durable LCD monitor I have ever encountered, it has been running for five years straight and has outlasted the computer that came with it. It has been punched and knocked off of my desk and has not broke, this monitor is the ideal desktop computer monitor. Durable, long lasting and great quality
