The movie then goes into the subplots that have been building up over the series. Love is found, tension is created, enemies are made, and darkness descends. This is a cocktail for a perfect drama movie, which HP6 was.
While it is long and drawn out, there is no repetition. There is a constant feed of new information, and it seems as if love is the key underlying tone to this movie. I don't want to get very detailed, as it would spoil the movie, but there are many key elements in the movie that must be paid attention to.
My favorite storyline was the transformation of the character of Draco Malfoy. Draco has always been a character that intrigued me. After the capture of his father in Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix, Draco becomes -- like any other child that would be subjected to this -- vengeful and confused. His confusion and vengeance shows a lot throughout the film. This kept me interested, as Draco resembles me in many ways. But that's another subject.
Another interesting storyline is the confusion surrounding Severus Snape. Snape has always been considered the tweener, the middle point between a good guy and bad guy. He has questionable motives, but always seems to come through at the end of the day. This movie helps solidify his stance, but it also leaves one to wonder...as always.
HP6 is another classic. Action fans will more than likely dislike it, but fans that love clues and drama will love it. The movie continues from HP5, and keeps the flow moving. I recommend it to any Harry Potter fan out there.
By the way, small tidbit: the last book is broken into two movies. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has two parts, with part one hitting theaters next year, while part two will hit theaters in 2011. Maybe in between all this time...I'll read the books.
