HTC HD2 Smartphone Review

The Next Big Thing in Tech

RH
With Google, Droid, Apple, and Blackberry all fighting for the title of best smart phone, there may be a new contender. HTC has really outdone themselves with the new HD2. Just like they have predicted, you may forget that you are using a phone. This little guy is more computer than a phone. With so many options, a huge screen, and lightning fast processor, this is no ordinary phone. The only real problem with it is the network it is attached to. T-Mobile has the exclusive market on this bad boy. I just can't bring myself to using this network. Hopefully there will be a hack for it soon. While T-Mobile.com still does not have the specs for this on thier site, HTC.com does. The details of what this little thing can do is listed in full there. Here is a breakdown of what they have to say about it. If they release this phone as advertised, it will definitely raise the bar in the smart phone industry.

What really sets this phone apart is the processor and hard drive. The new Snap Dragon from Qualcomm is one of the best you can get in any mobile device. This 1 Ghz processor is beyond anything shy of a dual core processor. You would have to upgrade to a laptop or desktop to match the performance of this phone. The 1 Gig hard drive with a half Gig RAM, this "phone" can stack up against some of the net books out there. Add in the WiFi and the GPS and the possibilities are endless.

Not only is this thing impressive "under the hood", but it has a beautiful appearance. Styled loosely after the iPhone, this has the same simple look, but the appearance goes beyond that. With a 4.3 inch screen and HD graphics, this phone will blow your mind. It is very easy to get drawn into this phone and forget that you are using anything less than a computer. With a completely customizable interface, you can make this your very own experience. You also get a 5 MP camera installed on this phone to capture any memories you come across.

Now that you are ready to jump out an get one of these awesome pieces of awesomeness, I should tell you that you will have to wait for this spring. According to T-Mobile.com, the release is planned for later this spring, but the exact date is still not released yet. These will not be released for a while. When they do come out they will likely be around the $100-200 range. It may take a little longer for a jail broke version to hit the markets though. Until they can offer it from a different provider, I am going to have to wait until then.
