Lacking Features of the HTC Wildfire S

The HTC Wildfire S has great entertainment features, a large LCD display, acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot, and has a host of other great features, but the HTC Wildfire S isn't perfect. Following are the worst features of the HTC Wildfire S Android smartphone.

It Could Use a Hardware Upgrade

The HTC Wildfire S is likely one of the most sought after Android smartphones of 2011, but while it's a very popular smartphone, its hardware features is lacking. The HTC Wildfire S features a 600 MHz single core processor, 512MB of RAM and ROM, a 5 megapixel camera, and a 1230 mAh battery. The hardware of this smartphone gets the job done, but pales in comparison to its closest competitors that boast more than twice the power of the HTC Wildfire S with a dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, lots of storage, and a 5-12 megapixel camera on average.

All 5mp Cameras Aren't Created Equal

With a 5 megapixel camera, you'd think that the HTC Wildfire S would have great camera quality, but the camera of the Wildfire S is a bit shoddy. With most smartphone cameras quickly replacing digital cameras as the average person's default camera nowadays, it's important for a smartphone to have a stable and high quality camera. While most modern cameras sport a 3-12 megapixel camera, the HTC Wildfire S features a mid-range camera that would usually boast decent quality, but the lens of this smartphone is horrible and hurts the overall image quality of photos taken with the HTC Wildfire S.

Lacking Battery Life

If camera quality is an important smartphone, you can bet that battery life is even more important. Regardless of all the great features provided with the HTC Wildfire S or any other smartphone, if it features a horrible battery, it can significantly reduce the user experience of a smartphone. The HTC Wildfire S features a 1230 mAh battery that offers up to 350 minutes of talk time (5.8 hours) which is pretty low by modern day standards. Even if 5.8 hours of battery life was common, considering the fact that battery life is determined by user settings and smartphone usage, the 5.8 hours of battery life advertised on this smartphone will likely be a lot less.

Poor Speaker Quality

Speaker quality is usually overlooked as an important smartphone feature, but when it malfunctions or is of subpar quality, speaker quality is recognized as the great feature that it is. Unfortunately, the HTC Wildfire S has poor speaker quality which strips the user's experience when watching movies, playing games, using apps that require audio, when using the HTC Wildfire S's speakerphone and while playing music.
