John Logan will be presented his Oscar Wilde award at the seventh annual US-Ireland alliance event, Honoring the Irish in Film, by Kenneth Branagh. The event will be held on February 23 at the offices of Bad Robot, J.J. Abrams' Santa Monica production company.

Logan is an Academy Award nominee this year for Best Adapted Screenplay, for Martin Scorsese's "Hugo." He will also introduce fellow honoree Michelle Williams, who appears with Branagh in "My Week With Marilyn," for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. The film's director, Simon Curtis, will also attend the event.

Trina Vargo, the president of the non-profit US-Ireland Alliance, welcomed the addition of Branagh. The actor and filmmaker, who also directed last spring's hit "Thor," and Logan "share a connection to Northern Ireland. (Ken) was born there, as were (John's) parents. They also share a great love of Shakespeare." Branagh has directed, produced and starred in several acclaimed Shakespeare productions, while Logan wrote the screenplay for the film "Coriolanus."
