Mario's Pizza is home of the 16 inch sub. It is located at 1582 N. Woodland Blvd. You can call in your order at 386-736-6966. You can pick it up or use their free delivery service. They have easy parking and seating both indoor and out. Since their full 16 inch torpedo subs are only $4.99, it is well worth the visit. I enjoyed the Mario Deluxe with ham, Provolone, Salami and Pepperoni and the works: Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Olives, Pickles, Mayonnaise and Oil & Vinegar. Their hours are Monday through Thursday and Sunday 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Friday and Saturday 10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
Belly Busters has been in Deland since 1980. They are located at 930 N Woodland Blvd. Their parking and interior seating is a little tight, but their subs are reasonably priced and big. They also have an 'all the way' option which has a great special sauce and cabbage slaw which is different and delicious. Once you try them you become a loyal customer. They are open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 A.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday and Saturday until 9:00 P.M. and Sunday 11:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Most people recommend the Sub Club with ham, turkey and bacon - 'all the way'! You can call in your order to pick it up and beat the line at 386-734-1611.
Bellini's is another great place to order a sub. They are located at 111 East Rich Avenue in downtown Deland, Florida. There is public parking available for three hour intervals, except for the fifteen minute parking in front of the store for fast pick-up. This family-owned restaurant is a nice casual place to go for a sit-down Italian dinner as well. They have great prices and are open Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. Friday and Saturday 9:00 A.M. to 9:30 P.M. They are closed Sunday and Monday. You can call 386-736-1747 for pick-up or check out their amazing sub prices here.
Tom's Pizza has been serving in Deland for over 50 years. They are located at 140 East Rich Avenue. Public parking is available alongside their own smaller parking lot, so finding a place close by is never a problem. They have casual tables and booths indoors and some outdoor seating as well. They are open 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. You can call in orders at 386-738-2511. They get quite a lunch crowd. Most agree that they have the best cheese steak sub in Deland. You can even find them on facebook.
