Tourists Head to the Beaches as the UK Sees a Late Summer Heatwave
Seaside Towns like Bournemouth Expect 100,000 Tourists This Weekend
The temperatures in Bournemouth today are expected to be between 25-30C (80-90F) and Bournemouth Council is preparing itself for as many as 100,000 people who could come flocking to the town to enjoy the late summer sunshine and it's miles of golden sandy beaches.
Although late spring and early summer in much of the UK was warm and dry, the main summer months of July and August were wet and dismal.
This weekend Bournemouth may see the highest temperatures for the year, and potentially the UK could see the hottest temperatures on record for October being broken.
As well as the amenities around the beaches being prepared for the unexpected flood of visitors, the hotels and guest houses in the area are also preparing themselves for what may be a weekend when most of their rooms are occupied.
Visitors are advised to check in advance to see if accommodation is available, and sites like Bournemouth Hotels And Accomodation have details of the hotels that have rooms, and what deals are available.

Enjoy the extended season as it'll be winter before you know it.

Tony we are experiencing temps in the low 50's today. Amazing isn't it. I added a blanket to my bed last night.

I don't mind an extension to summer :-)
Still 100 degrees here also........ :o)
Man, I'd love to go to a nice beach in the warm sunshine. Just cold, yucky rain here in Ohio, though. I'll just imagine it instead. :)
