to walk your streets, they are the same
the people are different
From the Back Bay to Quincy Market
I'll walk those streets
down Huntington Ave
across the Public Gardens
and through the Common
The headphones will be playing Dylan
Positively 4th Street on Park
Head to the harbor
catch a ferry to Georges Island
There I will look back at the skyline
while eating pistachios and almonds
dropping the shells on the granite blocks
of the old Civil War fort
Later, taking in a game at Fenway
sit in the bleachers, thinking of Yaz and Rico Petrocelli
the green, green field and the Monster to my right
after the game, stopping in at the Bull and Finch
cold Sam Adams and Goldfish crackers
Tomorrow, the Globe announces a Red Sox win
and race results from Suffolk Downs
and a Jeveli's ad on page 6B
another fine day in the Hub
blue, blue skies
and later a trip to the top of the Prudential
gaze out among my city
looking for home
finding it at my feet.
