Huber Orchard and Winery is located in Starlight, Indiana, just about fifteen miles northwest of Louisville, Kentucky. It is a long standing family farm that has grown into a friendly and hospitable tourist attraction drawing visitors from miles around. Huber's has something wonderful to offer anyone who chooses to visit.

First and foremost is the farm itself. Visitors can pick their own strawberries, peaches, apples, pumpkins, or cut Christmas trees, depending on the season. Families can stop for a relaxing picnic, and children will enjoy feeding the ducks, geese and koi goldfish in one of the farm's large ponds. Children will also enjoy Huber's large petting zoo. A wide variety of small and baby farm and exotic animals are available for petting and feeding in the petting zoo.

A large variety of produce is also available pre-picked in the farm market and gift shop. Produce is available fresh or packaged. Also available in the market are a variety of goods made on the Huber farm. Breads, jams, jellies, apple cider, baskets, pastas, and numerous craft items are just a few of the choices you will find there.

The ice cream factory at Huber's offers a variety of flavors of homemade ice cream, some made from the fruits grown in the orchard. Delicious breads and pastries can be purchased at the bakery. The cheese shop carries a large selection of cheeses and even offers cheese tastings. Also offering tastings is the Huber's Winery. The winery produces a variety of wines made from grapes from Huber's own vineyards. Huber's wines are in growing demand all across the region because of their fine taste and quality.

Wrap up your visit with a meal in the Huber's family restaurant. Prepare to make your selections from down home Southern cooking: fried chicken, catfish, meatloaf, cornbread, pork chops, roast beef and the like. Sweet iced tea is the most popular drink of choice. Make sure to try Huber's specialty fried biscuits that come with every meal. They are delicious by themselves, but for a real treat spread on some of Huber's homemade apple butter. If you've left room for dessert, try a slice of homemade pie; Huber's offers several different varieties.

The operating hours and activities at Huber's can vary depending on the season. There is no admission fee to the farm itself, but some of the attractions do have small admission charges. Items in the gift shops, market, and restaurants are reasonably priced and of great quality.
