Boston's Annual Veteran's Day Parade, which will feature local marching bands and decorated floats, will begin at the corner of Charles and Beacon Streets at the Boston Common and finish at Boston's City Hall Plaza, with a short program of speakers. The parade will start at 1pm, and viewers will be able to line the streets as early as 12:30pm.

Boston Centers for Youth and Families presents the free autumn 2011 Open Gym program, an opportunity for kids ages 3-8 and their families to drop in to the gym to play games, enjoy music, and participate in movement activities, giveaways and more. The Open Gym program will take place every Saturday morning through December 3rd, with the exception of November 26th. Please note that adult participation is required at all times during Open Gym events.

The Family Art Cart at the Museum of Fine Arts is a table filled with numerous fun and educational activities for kids, such as puzzles, books, art cards, sketchbooks, and other regularly updated interactive activities. The Art Cart will be available in the Shapiro Family Courtyard on Saturdays and Sundays through June from 10am-4pm. Art Cart activities are intended for kids ages 4 and over to do in the galleries with the help of an adult.
