The Boston Cares volunteer organization presents a free screening of the documentary film, More Than a Month, which examines "post-racial" America as Shukree Hassan Tilghman, q 29 year old African American travels around the country on a campaign to end Black History Month. Guest speakers will lead a roundtable discussion with the audience following the movie. The screening is free and open to the public. The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology and the Harvard Museum of Natural History co-present "Terrible and Charismatic Waste: A Close Reading of Ocean Plastics", as part of the Trash Talk free lecture series. The free event will feature Max Liboiron, ABD, Department of Media, Culture and Communication, New York University and Regional Co-Director of the Plastic Pollution Coalition, who will focus his lecture on plastic pollutants in the North Pacific Ocean. Award-winning photojournalist, Peter Menzel, and his wife, Faith D'Alusio, award-winning writer and editor, will be at the Museum of Science for an artist talk on their recent collaboration, What I Eat: Around the World in 80 Diets, the book that served as the inspiration for the What I Eat exhibit which is currently in the museum.
