Humana - My Health Care Option

Humana Insurance Offers Affordable Health Care Options

Judy Kaelin
When I reached retirement age I was faced with what to do about a health plan that I could afford. Since Medicare required a prescription plan and I was not on any medications at that time I did not want to pay a high premium for something I did not yet need. The supplemental insurance plans that I researched were too expensive for my retirement budget.

I selected Humana Insurance because an affordable prescription plan was included in their program. I have been using Humana Insurance for almost three years and I am very satisfied with my experience with their coverage of my health expenses. Humana is an inexpensive medical insurance plan that covers all my needs including medical prescription drugs.

Humana is an affordable option to Medicare, it is a private-fee-for-services organization. With Humana you have a co-pay for medical expenses for all doctor, chiropractic and hospital care. Humana offers several Medicare options and allows you to choose an option including coverage for Medicare part B and D for your prescription drug needs.

Humana offered me an option to cover my health care and stay within my budget. My premiums are low and for no additional cost, I am eligible for the optional "Silver Sneakers" plan, which allows me to attend a local "Curves For Women," which is helping me keep my body strong and healthy.

If you are approaching retirement age I suggest contacting Humana Insurance. You can obtain information online at: www.humana-medicare.com. For information or questions related to Medicare Advantage Program call: (800) 833-3212.
