As tragedies strike
Away from our place
We feel the need
The pain to erase.
Away from our place
We feel the need
The pain to erase.
No longer we see
The colors of race
We only desire
To extend an embrace.
A child's hungry plea
A mother's wet eyes
Bring us together
And form brand new ties.
With sorrow we realize
How frail we each are
But we are grateful to see
We can give help from afar.
As their eyes look at us
Thanking each one that gives
We find in hour heart
That Humanity lives.
