Humanity (?) Today
What are we?
Are we not called "human"?
Who are we?
Are we not members of the human race?
Where are we?
Do we not all share
the same planet?
Are we not called "human"?
Who are we?

They, why the destruction?
Why the hatred?
We were all created equal;
Created in love.
We have forgotten;
Man cannot remember:
What is Love?
We see the pain around us,
Then we turn away.
We see the destruction,
Then we turn away.
Our world that we share
is slowly going to waste.
But we turn away.
What are we?
We don't deserve to be called "human".
Who are we?
We've degraded our name "Humankind".
Where are we going?
Our people are dying,
Our world is falling.
Yet, still, we turn away.

Humans will always find something to fight about. If only that weren't so.
If we could but all get along! While these words tend to be scoffed at, I truly feel that when we no longer have money and religious strife we will be at peace like this world has never known!
