Humble Home

A Poem Honoring Mary, Dedicated to Our Roman Catholic Brothers and Sisters

Shirley A Mandel

where Christ was conceived
was a humble home indeed-

her eyes full of angel light,
her ears full of gracious words.

Baby to grow
in a lowly virgin's womb, Jesus-
soon to be God in the flesh.

Soon to be the joy
of sinners.

Soon to be my joy!
