Humility Trumps Self-Importance

Boasting Comes Off as Condescending

Donna H. Davey
There are few things less attractive than a boaster or someone who tries to impress by association.

Only very insecure people feel the need to repeatedly glorify themselves, which I find unfortunate because such self-importance casts a shadow over that which could be discovered without having to be told is there.

Some people want to feel important, superior.

I've never had that need as I have long recognized and been aware of my own insignificance and been at peace with that.

It is always the secure who are humble.
