"Humpty Dumpty's Iron Curtain"

ACT 1:

The scene opens with a wildly extravagant ballroom decorated with hanging tapestries, uniquely designed mosaic floor and paintings of previous rulers. Portraits of the royal blood line known to all of Dumptydom's as Humpty Dumpty. It's now the thirteenth heir to inherit the throne and King Humpty is about to deliver his ever-proclaimed word to his people of Dumptydom.

KING: "Ah, my royal subjects, today will be a glorious day for all of Dumptydom".

(The King's most trusted advisor and man, Sir Reginald, comes forth out of the crowd of Humpty's finest horses and men)

REGINALD: "What is it my liege, a new plan on attacking our adversaries- Queen Mother Goose and her flying female liberators?"

KING: "No, better than that Reginald. My plan is to encompass us all from all outside influences of the nation and cut us off from all likes of trade with foreign opposition."

(The King's captain of the horse squadron, General Nadine, the loyal steed bursts through his hay full stable in the court)

NADINE: "Sire, you surely don't mean to make Dumptydom a country on it's own do you, we'd be tossed back into the dark times, in the age of the Red Riding Hood death."

KING: "No, my loyal steed. Such terrible times won't befall us again. My plan is to build a huge wall around the kingdom so I may also oversee everything, including all the actions of my people."

REGINALD: "Oh majestic one, is that you do not trust us?"

KING: "Yes my trust advisor, I smell deceit in my court and my land and I will get to the bottom of it with my wall."

NADINE: "My lord, no one would ever think of succeeding your divine placement of the throne". (But there is a bit of fright in General Nadine's voice, he thinks that the King knows of the plan that all of the king's horses and men want to dethrone him.)

KING: "That is enough Nadine, tomorrow shall start the beginning of a new tighter order in my kingdom".

The King and all of his horses, men and other supposed loyal members exit the ball room and prepare for the building of the great wall. Plans start at daybreak tomorrow to unveil the blue prints and commence construction.

ACT 2:

A huge panning shot of Dumptydom's entire town square, littered with trash, the homeless, rats and many street vendors. Terrible times have befallen Dumptydom's society and with this new wall being constructed will diminish even more trade and make the land even worse, but Reginald and Nadine have other plans as the two meet aside from the King's illustrious crowd of followers.

NADINE: "The King has finally gone mad Reginald, and we must be the ones to put a stop to this."

REGINALD: "Yes, my friend- you speak the truth. As much as my blood runs loyal with that of the King's ancestry, I must think for the good of all and end his tyranny."

NADINE: "I shall be there with you my friend, along with my all of my fellow steeds."

REGINALD: "As will all of my knights and together this shall end before he finds out who exactly are planning against him- his very best friends."

NADINE: "Come Reginald, the King approaches swiftly with all the builders, we must praise him as his sub-ordinates without him realizing the demise we have planned for him."

A flock of architects, masonry workers and slaves of his to construct the great wall follow King Humpty Dumpty. He approaches his two most faithful followers of court and inquires of their advice for this huge project.

KING: "Sir Reginald, General Nadine."

REGINALD AND NADINE (together): "We are at your service sire."

KING: "Here are all the workers for the project, I leave you in charge of their work."

REGINALD: "And where will you be sire?"

KING: "I shall be watching over all of you in the shadows to see who here is faithful to my word."

NADINE: "None more faithful than us your imminence."

KING: "Yes, we shall see. Now I want this finished by sunset, those who disappoint me I'll know are the co prates."

REGINALD: "We shall not disappoint you my King."

King Humpty is escorted away; he really must attend to financial matters about the wall. He is truly only to strive fear in hearts of the men and think he'll be watching him but the wall's bank account calls him. His signature is needed for many, many papers of loans and such that are only draining everything out of Dumptydom.

REGINALD (continued): "Now that the King is gone, Nadine and I must be heard today."

NADINE: "Yes, we are the ones who want to overthrow the King the most and we know with your help we can do this all together."

The crowd is in an uproar; here they are risking their necks to show loyalty when it is the deceitful ones in front of their eyes. A masonry and one of the architects emerge from the crowd to speak their minds.

MASON: "Who is to say why we shouldn't just turn you two in now and let the king know who is really behind everything?"

ARCH: "I have twelve mouths to feed back home, if I can't complete this task, I'll be the one to hang. When it is you two all along that should be hanging from the gallows."

REGINALD: "We are all gentlemen here my boys, and we only promise you this. The ones who help us get rid of the king and end his tight grip over us shall be promised wealth and power that pours out of his crippled remains and new successors come to the throne.

MASON: "And just who will get that privilege of leading a kingdom. This place will be in a state of anarchy with no ruler."

NADINE: "Sir Reginald and I shall mostly rule, but we shall be the speakers of the public in a newly established democracy. Don't you want to be free, and your children will be free and so on and so forth?"

ARCH: "But this task is impossible, the king might as well slay all of us now, there's no way me and my men shall finish this".

REGINALD: "We will finish it with great help from everyone in the land. The word has been spread to all, this shall be the final task the king will ever get from us."

NADINE: "Yes, all come gather around and listen to the plan which will be done before the king's return tonight."

Sir Reginald and General Nadine gathered all of the towns' people together to listen to their sweet plan of treachery, revenge and vast amount of labor. Their plan is to finish the wall regardless of how hard a task it was, they knew if they failed then they would be under the iron fist of the king till the end of their lives. That sunset was the finest hour of deception and every pupil of the king was going to work there hardest to finish the task.

ACT 3:

King Humpty solely returns back into the towns square. He is awe struck with amazement that such a task was completed because of his rightful sternness with his subjects. He sees none of his workers left, there are empty carts where the stone was held and there is a ladder that leads up to the top. Humpty's stare follows the runs of it to the top and sees his most two loyal men at the top with proud faces of their accomplishment.

REGINALD: "What do you think my king?"

KING: "I see my vision is purely marvelous."

NADINE: "You don't know the half of it till you see the view from up here."

King Humpty carefully grabs the steps of the ladder and slowly climbs to the top. The altitude is amazing and is nearly blown off of the ladder by the audacious winds that fly by him at such heights to oversee the lands. He hops off with relief of the staggering highness of the ladder and rolls to the floor of the walkway on top.

KING: "I must admit, I am amazed that you were able to erect such a majestic piece of work."

REGINALD: "All the more majestic for our majesty."

NADINE: "Yes sire, we did it all for you."

KING: "No, you boys truly deserve a reward for this."

REGINALD: "Don't worry sire, we have one planned out already."

KING: "Hopefully it's not too steep, you wouldn't imagine how much this indestructible stone cost when I bought it off of the dwarves."

NADINE: "It will be a price that keeps on giving my lord, back to us in fact."

KING: "What do you mean?"

REGINALD: "It's the price of our freedom from you, you pompous windbag."

Reginald and Nadine grab the King by his robe, all of the towns' people emerge from the shadows to see the time of the king's dethroning.

KING: "What's the meaning of this, hey-h-h-HELP, cease and desist you ruffians. I shall see you throne into the royal dungeon you traitors."

NADINE: "No King, it is you who will be imprisoned, in your own private hell."

The King pleads more and more for the people's help below and begins to notice that they too are rooting for the wrong crowd and the King begins to sense his demise approaching.

KING: (He lets out a sigh) "Et tu my people" (and instantly goes into a bargaining posture for his life)"Nadine, Reginald, you mustn't do this please, I'll give you anything, money-power-women you name it."

REGINALD: "This is all we'll ever need from you King."

And with that King Humpty is pushed to his death from the staggering height of the great wall. His pieces are scattered all about the streets and all of his horses and men couldn't put him back together again if they wanted to. Sir Reginald and General Nadine climb down from the ladder and are approached by a roaring gleeful crowd.

NADINE: "The King is dead, long live the people."

And there was much rejoicing, but this happiness was not met for long. Issues of power and wealth were instantly brought up and General Nadine and Sir Reginald were the first to come to for the answers. Little did the two realize they were just put in charge of a kingdom with no source of income, the treasury was completely emptied because of the wall project and they had trapped themselves in their own little kingdom based on Humpty's shotty blueprints. Time had passed shortly and soon enough there was mass rioting, chaos and anarchy swept all throughout the encaged kingdom. Reginald and Nadine were looking for escape from the king but even in death he was able to keep a hold on them and laughs at them from his own little hell.
