United States of America
Hunt Mysteries has partnered with The Megaplex 20 at the District to present "Which Witch is the Head Witch?" Oct. 9, 10, 15, 16 & 17 in The Suites at Megaplex 20, 11400 South Bangerter Highway, South Jordan, UT 84095.

In "Which Witch is the Head Witch?" guests are invited to the specially convened WWWWCEC (Wild and Woolly Western Witches Coven Election Convention) to elect a new head witch or warlock. Witchypoo, the coven's high exalted head witch, has been found ashes to ashes and dust to dust, requiring all its members to convene for the purpose of selecting a new head witch or warlock. Who will win? Be forewarned, as with all politics, intrigue is likely to creep in. Keep your wits about you and try to uncover the clues that will unmask the killer! Guests mingle and dine with characters Syd Vicious, Peter Pyper Pepper, Ramon Contado, Serena VaVoom, Matilda Broomhilda and Glinda Glimmer.

Cast members are Mary Zullo Brassard, Emily Stevenson, Tonia Sayer, Anthony Porter, Chris Madriaga and Chris Cucera. The directors are Mary Brassard and Jared Hunt; music director is Emily Stevenson, and choreographer is Natalie Fortie.
The dinner theater show includes singing, dancing and loads of comedy, plus audience participation, including interrogating the suspects (the actors) in solving the comedy murder mystery.

Hunt Mysteries has been doing dinner theater throughout Utah and surrounding states for more than 18 years.
After the run in South Jordan, the show is scheduled Oct. 23 & 24 at The Castle, 930 West Antelope Dr., Layton, UT 84041, and then Oct. 29, 30 & 31 at the Riverwoods Conference Center, 615 S. Riverwoods Parkway, Logan, UT 84321.

For more than 18 years, Hunt Mysteries has been doing dinner theater throughout Utah from Logan to St. George and Vernal to Delta. HM acting troupes have also performed in Glenwood Springs and Denver, Colo.; Las Vegas and Wendover, Nev.; Pindale, Evanston and Green River, Wyo, and even shows in North Dakota and on a cruise to Mexico.

Hunt Mysteries has set up a Discount Code that can be used to get $5 off per person. Just use Code hmcontent when making reservations. Just call 866-569-1482 or go online at www.huntmysteries.com.

"For the price of a movie and a nice dinner, a couple can get a great interactive Halloween show at the same time they're enjoying a great dinner," said Jared Hunt, who in 2008 purchased Hunt Mysteries from his father, W. Lee Hunt, who founded the enterprise in 1991.
One of the unusual aspects of Hunt Mysteries shows is that there is no "fourth wall" between the actors and the audience -- no backstage curtains to hide behind. The actors mingle with the guests throughout the evening and stay in character at all times -- even when tempted by guests to come out of character. And as in past years, Hunt Mysteries is encouraging guests to dress in their Halloween finest -- though it isn't required.
Megaplex 20 has created a great buffet menu for the shows. It is as follows:

  • Penne Pasta and Chicken in a Parmesan Cream Sauce Tossed with Zucchini, Red Pepper and Broccoli Bowtie Pasta Marinara with Rustic Italian Sausage and Peppers
  • Breadsticks with Garlic and Herbs
  • Caesar Salad
  • Coca-Cola Products
  • Desserts: Mini Éclairs, Decadent Fudge Brownies and Assorted Cookies
