"Hunt's Lemon Snack Pack Pudding" comes in a swirling red package with pictures of sliced lemons, lemon juice, and a spoonful of bright yellow pudding. The package also tells me that "Hunt's Lemon Snack Pack Pudding" has no preservatives and is made with natural lemon flavor, while the red tops of the individual cups inside tell me it's made with real nonfat milk, so it sounds like it's pretty good and good for me.
"Hunt's Lemon Snack Pack Pudding" is a very bright lemon yellow. The pudding has a smooth, velvety texture. And the lemon flavor is bright and tangy. It really tastes lemony! Some of the cheaper puddings I've tried don't have such a realistic flavor, so you can tell that this one has real juice in it.
The only drawback to "Hunt's Lemon Snack Pack Pudding" is that it has little nutritional value. You would expect a product made with milk to at least have a bit of calcium, but a 99 gram cup of "Hunt's Lemon Snack Pack Pudding" doesn't have even enough to list. Each cup also has seven percent of your daily recommended value of saturated fat, 120 calories, and twenty grams of sugar. This is quite a bit, though for a desert type food, I don't think this is terrible.
All in all, I would recommend "Hunt's Lemon Snack Pack Pudding" as long as you eat them in moderation. They are not great, nutritionally speaking, but they are a nice little pick me up that are far better for you than a bag of chips or a candy bar. I greatly enjoyed the lemony flavor, and though I'm not sure how a product with milk in it can be stored in the cupboard without any preservatives, I'm glad Hunt's found a way to do so. (Many other puddings are full of those polysyllabic chemical wonders.)
So if you want a sweet treat with a lemony zing I recommend "Hunt's Lemon Snack Pack Pudding".
Enjoy!

Post a CommentWhere are the Lemon Meringue pudding cups? I loved them! Now the plain lemon cups don't taste as good.
You need to read the label on the top of the cup a bit closer...it says all flavors made with milk EXCEPT Lemon & Lemon Meringue Pie.....
