Hurricane River Cavern is located on Hwy. 65 halfway between Harrison and Marshall and 50 miles south of Branson, MO.

This cavern follows an ancient riverbed which eroded the passages in a most unique way. Hurricane River Cavern features all the usual formations associated with caves but also offers a look at some unique and rare shield formations.

There have been several skeletons found in Hurricane River Cavern including a saber tooth cat, several bears and a complete Indian skeleton was discovered in 1989.

The entrance to Hurricane River Cavern sits at the base of a towering bluff with a magnificent waterfall.

This cave offers a 45 minute guided tour covering one-forth mile in distance. It contains one incline and two staircases. They also offer a wild tour that is separate from the normal tour and is available by reservation only. The wild tour covers the east passage and includes a boat ride on the underground river to reach an easy climb up into the passages of the wild tour area. You will be supplied with helmets, lights, knee pads, gloves, water and a snack. It is suggested that you wear lace-up boots and a long sleeve shirt. This tour is limited to six people. No cameras are allowed and you are required to sign a waiver. The age limit for this tour is ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a parent. If you are aged 15 you can go without your parent but must have consent.

Hurricane River Cavern is also developing a lower east passage for future tours through that part of the cave.
