The Husqvarna Sewing Machine has many good qualities:
* This machine is built tough. I sew through eight layers of corduroy with no problems at all. When you come down off a seam, the machine adjusts the presser foot and keeps right on sewing. It's no surprise that Husqvarna has been making sewing machines for over 130 years.
* Bobbin winding is a breeze. If your bobbin runs out during sewing, never fear! You can easily wind a new bobbin without unthreading the machine. Simply take the thread coming out of the needle and wind away. An added bonus is that the bobbins have a small "H" embossed on one side. If you always have the "H" toward you, you know you're are winding the bobbin correctly, and placing it in the bobbin holder the right way. The machine also has automatic bobbin thread pick up, so you don't need to bring the bobbin thread up manually.
* Speed control. I like to sew fast, so I always have the speed on high. If you are a novice, or sewing something special, you can adjust the speed down to a lower setting.
* Computerized settings. There are two separate memories on most Viking models, with a wide variety of stitches to choose from. Monogramming and one-step buttonholes are a cinch. When you choose a setting, the machine will tell you what presser foot to use, and what tension you need for the stitch you are using. Very user friendly.
* Permanent lubrication. You never have to oil your Husqvarna Sewing Machine, or worry about getting oil on your fabric.
* Built in accessory box that slides on and off. This is very handy for storing bobbins, extra presser feet, a cleaning brush, and screw driver.
* The Husqvarna Sewing Machine also has a free arm, carrying case, and built in needle threader included with the machine.
I have had my Husqvarna for three years, and I sew an average of two hours a day. I have never had the machine serviced, and it's still running like a charm. I highly recommend a Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machine.
