Hustonville, KY 40437
United States of America
Visibility/Location: Upon arriving at The Hustonville Haunted House you immediately are engulfed with the feeling you are in an erie ghost town with a rich past. And the towns history boasts just that. It is said that when HWY KY-127 was constructed around the town and the small community was bypassed, the town faced very slow economical struggles. And in the 1990's it was haunted attractions that began to give the town it's new life. Today it is estimated that thousands of tourists from central USA travel to Hustonville to have the best haunt of thier lives. Yours truly included.
Wait/Entertainment: There is absolutely no complaints in this department. Although I tried to beat the crowd and attend a little ahead of the rush on Friday, October 24th, we had only an estimated wait time of approximately 8 minutes. Even though we were waiting, it didn't feel like the case because we were entertained all throughout the wait by creepy rock music and the appearance of Pinhead, a tragic villian who is depicted in Hellraiser films. Also Jason, of the Friday the 13th series keeps peeking in on you from above. The simple sight of these characters while out in the dark streets of an erie town definately got my spine to trembling.
Scare Factor: High
Crowd Control: The staff did a very good job with the crowd. Although there wasn't a large number of people in the waiting area when I arrived, it was very well manored with no pushing or shoving and no long waits. Inside of the haunted house was also handled with great care. On average, I counted the group tally of about 5 people per group going in the haunt. Which was very nice because you don't have to deal people falling all over one another or having to wait for people to catch up. Also we did not have to stop and wait at any checkpoints inside. We traveled through at our own pace, non stop, except when our legs were shaking from sheer terror.
Admission Price: $12.00 per person or book online for a discount
Showtimes: Open every night in October (Now including Sundays)
