Drink plenty of water - Whether you're thirsty or not, drinking water is essential in keeping your body and skin hydrated. Have trouble drinking plain water? Add sugar-free flavorings to it, like Crystal Light. To be sure you get enough water each day to keep your body functioning and skin fresh, drink at least half your body weight converted into ounces each day.
Moisturize wet skin - Whenever you wash your face, it's important to add moisturizer no more than five minutes afterward. When you moisturize skin after bathing, you're locking in that valuable moisture before it has a chance to evaporate. One face cream I must use after washing my face each time is Pond's Dry Skin Cream. It feels non-greasy, but super hydrating each time I use it. It's also a classic product, which to me indicates it works or else it wouldn't still be around!
Hydrating masks - Just as you would add a treatment to your hair or body to repair skin or hair, your face benefits from regular treatments either at home or professionally. One mask I love is the gel Mark. Calm Yourself Hydrating Mask, which features ingredients like green tea, sea moss and aloe. The cooling feeling soothes and relaxes the face while adding plenty of moisture into dry, tired skin.
Creamy Cleanser - When you have dry skin, a creamy cleanser is perfect for clearing away excess oil and makeup from the skin without stripping away valuable moisture. Exfoliating is essential in keeping skin fresh and sloughing away dead skin cells. Each night, I use the L'Oreal Go 360 Clean Facial Cleanser. This product cleans my skin and leaves it feeling moisturized and soft, and the attached scrublet is perfect for deep cleaning without scratching my skin.
So if you have dry skin, these products cleanse and hydrate your face without the harsh irritations other products can leave you with. All of these products are affordable, which is perfect for anyone on a budget.
