Right now we are going to take a peek at Neutrogena's Wave. During this review we are going to look at the actual cleanser, cleansing power, and design.
NOTE: I have personally tested this product.
Design: ***** (5 stars of 5)
I personally love the design of the Wave; it's not too big and it's not too small. The Wave is made from a sturdy plastic casing in the form on your grip. A colorful non-slip rubber gripping is placed on each side of the device; the colors come in green, pink, and purple. The Wave requires one AA battery to operate and the battery chamber is completely water proof so you can use the Wave in the shower or bathtub. A small power button is located on the left side of the wave for easy on and off operations. On the top of the Wave, where you place the cleansing pad, a removable rough base sits.
Cleanser: **** (4 stars of 5)
The cleanser comes pre-applied to small cotton circles. You stick the circle cleansing pad to the rough top of the Wave. To activate the cleanser on the pad - run a little warm water over the pad while it's on the Wave. I did enjoy the cleanser very much, but there didn't seem to be a lot of cleanser on the pad. On the nights I would remove makeup - I could go through 2 pads. The cleanser is cool and very refreshing. The cleanser is rather gentle and mild, but I would not recommend using washing your face more than once with the Wave each day; your skin will dry out from over washing. I wash my face each night with the Wave, and it doesn't dry my face out. When I washed my face once in the morning and once at night with the Wave, my face became red, irritated, and dry.
Cleansing Power: ***** (5 stars of 5)
I was very impressed with the cleansing power of the Wave. The Wave, once turned on, provides a gentle vibrating action. This vibrating action stimulates the pores on your face, thus opening them. Once the pores are open, the cleanser penetrates deep within and removes oils, dead skin, and dirt. The cotton cleansing cloth is built specifically to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. After one use with the Wave - my face was silky smooth and glowing. Unlike most other cleanser - the Wave did not give my face a shiny appearance. Not only does the Wave cleanse your face, it tones it. You do not need to apply anything else to your face after using the Wave because the Wave does it all for you.
All-in-all, if you need a facial cleanser that is easy to use, mild, and portable, the Wave may be for you. This product received an overall rating of 4.7 stars of 5 (read on to find out why this product was given this rating): the bad - cleanser does not last long on the pad; the good - portable, easy to grip and handle, and amazing cleansing power.
