Hypnosis is the Key to Unlocking Your Mind's Full Potential

Peter R
Now that I am learning to be a hypnotherapist so I can help people with their problems with my eventual hypnosis videos, I've had a lot of friends balk when asked if I could use them as test subjects for my hypnosis. They react with apprehension, saying they're afraid of it, or don't believe in it. These are all biases probably based on the stereotype of the stage hypnotist at carnivals who could allegedly get people to jump around and squawk like chickens. In reality, such acts were probably choreographed and this has nothing to do with hypnosis.

Hypnosis is self hypnosis and it's not possible for anyone to hypnotize you to rob a bank or do anything you don't want to do. Only you can hypnotize yourself. To deny yourself the benefits of hypnosis is to deny yourself the key to unlocking your true to potential for achievement and happiness. I know, as hypnotherapy sessions helped me quit smoking, and recover from depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. It has also eliminated my fear of failure and allowed me to successfully pursue my dream of become an Internet entrepreneur and freelance writer.

Perhaps my friends, and others, feel that in hypnosis they will lose control, and the hypnotist will have power over them and can maneuver them like a puppet. On the contrary, in my on-line hypnosis lessons at http://www.hipknowtherapy.com I have learned that when you are under hypnosis you are actually under more control as hypnosis allows you to see things more clearly in an unvarnished perspective that is uncluttered by the mental chatter in your mind that comes from thinking about the past or the future. The bottom line is, people can be influenced, but they cannot be controlled except by physical force.

When you are under hypnosis, it is not like being in a coma or being unconscious. You are still aware and your mind is awake enough so you could attend to any situation or emergency that arises during the session. Your logical thought has not diminished; you are just also able to access the internal hard drive of your mind, the subconscious, which guides you and drives your emotions, instincts, and physical responses. For example, stress is a physical response to a thought in your mind. Hypnosis simply allows you to become aware of this and be open to suggestions that can change your physical reaction to external stimuli, such as alleviating unnecessary anxiety.

In fact, hypnosis is completely natural. The focus of a talented artist or athlete operating "in the zone" is all related to things that are elements of hypnosis. You owe it to yourself to experience its benefits.

If you were to do some serious research, you would find that only good things have occurred from proper hypnotherapy. Without utilizing the mental faculties that hypnotherapy improves, you will lack the natural focus and clarity of thought needed to perform a task at an optimum level, or learn as much as we are capable of. Most people only use a small percentage of their brains. Hypnosis is the perfect tool to tap into the higher regions of our minds where brilliant artists, writers and inventors go.

With hypnotherapy, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain. On top of that, it's quite fun. Some people take narcotics to calm down or feel better, I'd rather choose hypnosis - it is side effect free.
