Hypocricy Apparent in the Left's Oposition to Arizona's Illegal Immigration Law

During the end of the health care debate, when the bill finally passed, Obama addressed the American public and charged that the Right had claimed that the bill was a Socialist takeover of health care, but that the bill, as actually written, contained none of that language. Indeed, the Socialist takeover was not in the bill verbatim. It was the Right's position that the government takeover would be the inevitable result of the laws and policies that the bill puts in place.

Today, the Democrats take the other tack, proving that once again nothing they say can be taken seriously, trusted, or is built upon solid ground. The Illegal Immigrant Law recently passed in Arizona contains absolutely no language referring to race, ethnicity, or national origin; however, the left's objection to it is that it might be abused by someone intent upon racial profiling. Please! Speeding laws could be abused. Any and all laws could be abused this very same way, but we don't make all crimes legal just because the law against it might be abused!

The fact is you can be from Canada or Europe and in Arizona illegally and if you are breaking another law, come into custody and have no proof or your immigration status, the police should also make a reasonable attempt to establish your status. (I would hope they do that anyway in every state.) Because one must be under suspicion of breaking another law in the first place, and currently detained, before this law encourages the enforcement of existing immigration laws, it is actually "racist" for the Leftists to assume that Latinos break traffic laws more than naturalized citizens, and would thereby be more affected by this law than any other Illegal Immigrant in Arizona.

The hypocrisy and duplicitous nature of the Left in this country has reached such sickening level that nothing they say is taken with any seriousness by any but the easily misled and woefully under-educated.

But, why do the Socialists, Democrats, and the Media resort to such disingenuous tactics? It all boils down to this. For years the Left has felt like the disadvantaged underdog, and that their cause was so morally superior, that the Ends justified the Means. That is, it is perfectly OK to lie, cheat, and steal in order to gain power and enact their policies.

Meanwhile, they implicitly acknowledge the true morality of Conservatives, because they hold them to the highest moral standards in all areas of their conduct. And this tactic works so well, because the Conservatives do actually hold themselves to high standards.

It is a bit like how radical Muslims, who have never signed the Geneva Convention, who kill innocent women and children with relish, squawk the loudest at the least minor perceived inconvenience they encounter from the civilized world's trying to protect themselves.

Naturally, the Radical Islamists' biggest defender is the American Left. It must be due to a recognition of kindred thought patterns.
