Hy-Vee Grocery Store

Customer service should be a top priority if you work with the public; restaurants, department stores, and book stores should go out of their way to make their customers feel special and valued.

One store that stands out from the rest is "Hy-Vee Grocery Store" located at 11650 South 73^rd Street in Papillion, Nebraska. "Hy-Vee" is in the "Shadow Lake Towne Center" and is open 24 hours a day; 7 days a week.

One thing I like about the store is the way it is set up. When walking in you immediately feel like your shopping experience will be a good one; you feel cared for and appreciated by the employees. There is always a smile on their faces and they go the extra mile when it comes to helping their customers. For instance the first time I visited, being unfamiliar with the store layout; I was unable to find a product and asked an employee what aisle it would be in. Instead of just giving me the aisle number she stopped what she was doing and led me to the exact spot then asked if she could assist me further. I was happily surprised and a little shocked that she was so generous with her time and it appeared she had a sense of joy while helping me. I thought that her kindness was a onetime occurrence but every time I have visited the store all the employees are willing to lend a hand.

"Hy-Vee" has the best displays; nothing is out of place and always accessible. There isn't a shelf that's messy or an aisle that is sloppy; everything is put neatly in its place. The food is arranged in a way that makes sense. It's almost like it flows instead of everything being in opposite directions in the store. The meat department is clean, the produce section is flawless, and the dairy aisle is always stocked and lined up straight. The prices at "Hy-Vee" are lower than other grocery stores that I've visited and the quality of their food is awesome; absolutely great!

A few extras in the store are a bank, health clinic, dietitian, and kitchen. These are things that I hadn't seen in other grocery stores and found it to be very convenient; it's a one stop shop for all of my needs.

Bank: Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Clinic: Open Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and 9:00 am to 3:00 pm weekends and holidays.

Dietitian: Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; closed every other Wednesday; every other Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Call to schedule an appointment or to ensure availability to answer your health questions.

Floral: 7:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.

Kitchen: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.

Pharmacy: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday.

Wine & Spirits: Sunday through Thursday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 8:00 am to 12 midnight.
