I have always loved the rain
because it seems almost mystical
Liquid crystals falling from above
I have always loved the rain
because water washes things away
and grows things back
I have always loved the rain
because I remember when we were young
how much fun it was to catch it in our mouths
I have always loved the rain
because the sound of it's light pounding
is a comfort I can not describe
I have always loved the rain
because sometimes it is accompanied
by bright colors of a promise in the sky
I have always loved the rain
because umbrellas bring families and friends together
and what's not to love about that?
