nobody wants to earn it anymore.....

where are all of the other Americans?
When Katrina hit....
When Ike hit.....
When our leaders have betrayed us.....
When we have sent thousands of our children into a lie.......
I am American.....

who will stand with me to defend her against the enemy within....
against the liars who just want to be seen......
against the leaders who have deceived us....
against the liars that want to screw us again....
I am American.....

I can't do it alone.....
I need to see common sense come back to us.....
I know there are others who see.....

I want America to live......
I want our families to prosper.....
I want truth to be the leader.....
I want a United America not a Divided One.....

I am an American,I believe in God,HE is our Father.I am grateful for living in a Free Society,His love dwells in my heart.He is speaking loudly today.No one seems too hear Him.I hate to be a prophet of doom.But the situation we now face is very disturbing.Both of these candidates dont have a clue,or any answers for our economy.Only their own agendas.We are in real troubling times,unlike ant other in history.Whichever one wins this Election,has no plan for the future.Except that they'll "change"the current Bureaucracy,yet they are part of it .Thats only a word.Its change for the sake of change,with no real change at all.I must stress that we need a New Way.Not the same dung heap.This mess is causing real visceral damage too our economy.I hope we can recover.

I agree with you on everything except one. I don't think either candidate cares enough about this country to do anything to save it. That has to come from a groundswell of people at the root level. As long as individuals are not willing to take responsibility for their own actions and continue to expect things to be handed to them on a silver platter, nothing will ever change. Those of us in the middle class will continue to bear the tax burden for both the poor and the wealthy. I'll give the shirt off my back to anyone who needs it, but I'm sick of supporting movie stars, musicians, sports figures, and the like. I worked with the IRS long enough to realize how many tax loopholes they use to get out of paying; loopholes the rest of us can't come close to using.
Keep ranting, Rose. I've been at it now since the sixties. Don't know if it has made any difference, but I agree and I speak up and out and do what I can. Let's all remember that as we head into this final election cycle and I would also refer people to the website that has been established to debunk some of the lies being told on the campaign trail. I listened to John McCain and Sarah Paiin attempt to link Barack Obama, through one of his "advisors" (they said; not true) to the recent financial and economic collapse of our nation's banks, insurance companies, etc. The truth can be found at:www.Democrats.org/CounttheLies
