I Am with You Dear Friend

Prayer Poem for One Whom is Suffering

Shana Dines

Medicine cannot always inspire.
Heal or bring hope to heal.
The path is painful and can mire,
One into hopelessness.
I feel your pain dear friend.
If I could take on a bit,
I would.
If I could.

I see your torment,
Pain in your eyes,
Not only physical,
Which dear friend I know is much.
But I would if I could.
All I can do it hold your hand,
Pray and cry.
Know that I love you and I,
When you leave,
I will grieve.
I will still love you,
And see you on the other side.
