Green. Short or tall. Waving daintily in
the fields. Welcoming the sweeping winds.
Soaking up the bright fluorescent
sunlight. Soft, comforting, enigmatic.
Dependable and pliable. Growing between walls, fields,
roadsides, concrete. Vivacious, perky, full of
life. Eager to explore.
Fascinated by the surroundings.
Curious to face new challenges.
Sometimes stepped on, ignored,
pulled out. Discouraged or
frustrated. Bends, folds,
curves. Small, humble, and obscure.
The heavy rain pours and I
bend down. When the storm is
over I stand tall with pride.
That is me. I am a fighter,
an optimist, and a
cheerful person by nature.
I am the grass.
