I Am Me by Ashlee Simpson Features 11 New Tracks

Ashlee Simpson's latest Album I Am Me hit stores October 18th with 11 new tracks. The sister to pop star Jessica Simpson recently performed the song "Catch me when I fall" on TV live to redeem herself after not only one, but two embarrassing moments she had while performing on live TV. The CD cover features a dark background of Ashlee with blonde hair again.

The first track off of I am me is "Boyfriend." The fast-paced song talks about others talking about Ashlee taking someone else's boyfriend and how she'd fed up with the lies. Many may relate to this song in their own life.

Say Goodbye- A sad slow starting song about one not being there for Ashlee and how things now hurt.

L.O.V.E- If you didn't know the name of this song you may think Ashlee is singing "hello" instead of L.O.VE. This song is catchy and could easily be played at the local roller blading rink.

Burning up- A song about a guy causing her to burn up and have butterflies.

I Am Me- An anthem of Ashlee being herself and she's proclaiming several times that she's not going to change for anyone.

In Another Life- A song about how someone must've been hers in another life.

Beautifully Broken- A slow starting guitar laced song on how her world was crashing down all around her. Makes sense she'd feel like this considering the past embarrassing issues she'd had with performing live. She sings that she's beautifully broken and doesn't care if she shows it. Uplifting lyrics such as "every time there's a new storm, I know it won't last, every moment I am filled with hope."

Coming Back for More- Be careful that this song doesn't get caught in your head for hours and hours. The beat is catchy and may suck you right in. Perhaps this song is best for young girls who have a crush on someone and just can't break the cycle of others being on their mind so much.

Dancing Alone- It's a beautiful song about how she's dancing alone. Why? Because she'd rather wait for that one person cause their love according to the song is like heaven.

Catch Me When I Fall- Sad song filled with drums and the piano. Her voice at times sounds strained in the song.

Eyes Wide Open- A fast paced song perhaps about finding a spirit or ghost and keeping her memories alive.

Overall at times this CD is pretty catchy. I don't mind Ashlee Simpson after seeing the behind scenes due to their father negotiating the deal to have MTV give Ashlee her own reality show. But her sister for perhaps a few more years will be the one that will continue to shine or at least to be talked about more.
